GENEFIE R. BROADNAX
Morgan County is a very small town that’s approximately 45 miles outside Atlanta, Ga. It’s a country town with great people and family-oriented community. In that city a smart, beautiful young lady was born and raised. That young lady goes by the name Genefie Broadnax.
Broadnax attend Morgan County High school. While in school she participated in the schools broadcast and media team, for this is what she loved to do. She took all journalist related courses in the four years she attended. In addition, for her love for journalism, Genefie served on the yearbook committee, student government, Bulldog’s broadcast, and all the school’s social events.
Genefie is an alumnus of Georgia Military College. In May of 2016, she graduated with an Associates of Mass Communication. She attends Georgia State University in the city of Atlanta. As a student her grade status is a junior and is studying journalism. Her expected graduation year is Fall 2019.
Outside of school, Genefie works two jobs. She’s been employed at Wal-Mart 5 years as a cake decorator and fresh production trainer. Next year she will train at home office to become apart of Wal-Mart’s marketing team. Chick-Fil-A is her second place of employment, and there she is a BOH employee. Along with her busy life, above everything, she is a mother to an eight-month-old baby girl named Gia Malani Waller. She is deeply involved in church and her community. When free from both, school and work, Broadnax serves and gives back to her community.
In the future, after graduating with her bachelors, Genefie plans to intern at a local broadcast/radio station and hopes to grow from there. Along with interning, she wants to further her education as a journalist major and obtain her masters.
